Portus 2008!

February 13th, 2008 · No Comments · Gryffindor Common Room

Both of my proposals - “Hogwarts, A (Haunted) History” and “Christ in the Forest: Aslan and Harry Walk to Their Deaths” - have been accepted by the vetting committee as part of Portus’s daytime Formal Programming. The former presentation will examine the theme of fear - including Lovecraftian analysis - and how it is conquered. The latter will examine the power of voluntary self-sacrifice in Rowling, Lewis, and Tolkien.

As I’ve already announced, I’m joining HP Progs for the Portus Podcast Palooza, and I’ve been granted a “press pass” to the event.
